Waste vitrification

According to its definition a waste is a product we try to get rid of. The final waste is often toxic and it is designed for class 1 dumping.

The vitrification is in some cases an attractive alternative to transform the wastes into materials which are physically and chemically close to the natural ones such as basalt or obsidienne.
A thorough scientific studie shows that these materials are stable for long-term periods and ecologically acceptable. They could even be considered as "a secondary raw materials" and be used again…
