| In terms of composition and structure, the vitrified wastes are closely related to other industrial oxides, such as glasses, crystal, vitreous ceramics or natural oxides such as basalt and obsidan. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

The material can be more or less durable according to the storage or use conditions. It is essential to verify the durability of fixation of the contained hazardous elements in order to evaluate any application or standardization through leaching tests. |
