• choice of raw materials for a given composition: chemical nature, melting and crucible compatibility, incorporation rate
• choice of thermal treatment: conversion of raw materials, refining, obtaining of glass or crystallization, annealing , rapid cooling, volatilisation
• by soil-gel mean: obtaining of homogenous materials, pure crystallized phases.
