Testing is based on the interaction between an incident beam with the matter.

We are equipped with lamps that cover the range from the ultraviolet to the infrared.

We supply measurements of :

• the refractive index (refractometer) according to the wavelength and the optical dispersion through the Abbe`s number
• the transmission and the absorption at well defined wavelengths permits to evidence the presence of some transition elements in the material. In a few cases, its concentration may be estimated.
• the reflexion at a given wavelength according to the surface quality
• the thickness and the refractive index of thin solid film deposited on a substrate using ellipsometer with variable wavelength.
