It is carried out using following equipments :

• traction-compression machine
• mechanical dynamic analyser
• microhardness device
• nano indentor (home made equipment built in partnership with the glass's laboratory)

We can provide the determination of :

• Young's modulus ( 3 or 4 points bending, with spans value on request, "bresilian test")
• rupture modulus or maximum stress, the WEIBULL modulus, the chemical susceptibility factor
• toughness in opening mode SENB
• the VICKERS hardness (from some grammes to several hundred grammes)
• the bulk volume compressibility for porous material (use of mercury porosimeter)
• Afterwards, all these datas can be used to optimize the sample dimension with respect to foreseen application. They also may be used to estimate the life time of a sample under a stress and in peculiar atmosphere. We also prepare suitable samples to obtain correct mechanical values.
